I've 2003 c230 komp with 77K miles on it. I've recently serviced air condition compressor where it was leaking oil from the sensor part of compressor. After couple of weeks of this service, I've noticed that the "AC Off" button gets turn on and the fan runs on low mode automatically even the fan controlling **** is turn off. This happens when I first turn on the engine. After I've adjusted the **** for the fan on and off, the "AC Off" gets turn off and the fan get turn off.
I've read some where on the forum this might be due to lack of freon in A/C system.
Anybody have any suggestion, let me know.

The system shuts down the compressor when the refrig. level gets too low for proper lubrication.

I would suggest topping it off and looking for another leak.
