Default ABS functioning?

Hi all...
I replaced my front brake pads around 3 weeks ago and i had my discs turned too... i think the turning job was fine since there was no vibration or one side holding or anything like that..
Anyway, when i hit the brakes (kinda strong hit) the car would slip.. i can feel the front tyres slipping.. does that mean the rear pads needs to be changed since i haven't done that for a long time or is that the ABS system is not functioning properly???

Thanx all

if only one tire is slipping, then ABS is not working...but if both, ABS is fine.

replace only the rear pad if it is worn out.

the front brakes works better because you have just machined the disc and with new pads too. the ABS will either lock the rear brakes or release the front brakes a little to prevent spinning.

replacing new rear pads won't make much difference.
