New to the forumn, and looking for some information regarding the a 99C230. Looking at buying a 99 C230 with 188, 000 miles, Is this ok mileage for a Mercedes or is this really high miles and just waiting for problems, simliarto a domestic car?

On a domestic car I would not be interested a car with tha many miles.

How does it run and drive
Does owner have maintainence records
Does interior look abuse ( always a good sign how the rest of vehical was taken care of )
Windows do they all work, mirrors work.
look in oil filler hole is it clean or burn't oil on it
does it start when ice cold easly

Runs and drives good, interior is mint, exterior almost the same.every thing seems to be in correct working condition. Some maintance records, appears to be well taken care of.

I am just not sure what the longevity is of these engines and transmisions

 

I always buy cars w/or around 100K because I am cheap.
that sounds like a good deal ask to take it for a long ride 3hr round trip you put in the gas.
