PO 105 MAP sensor /manifold absolute pressure sensor/. You need to replace sensor /small plastic part that is connected with 3 electrical wires. Go to the www. autopartswarehouse.com Part is around $ 80,oo plus S&H. You can replace it by yourself.

Around intake manifold. Remember, 3 electrical wires are connected with sensor.

Found part on a rubber standoff besides the thermostat housing. There is connection (but not shorted) between all three terminals. Anything else I can to do to check this part?
I heard that almost all European gasoline cars use the same MAP sensor, including VW. A VW MAP sensor is quite a bit cheaper. Has anybody tried to put a VW MAP sensor on a MB? The part I removed was made by Denso from Japan (a Toyota company) anyway, though it has a 3-point star and a MB 10 digit part no.
