Default 94 C280 can't drive forward

I have 94 Mercedes C280 with 86K on it. Two weeks ago I was stopped at a stop sign and in the process of making a right hand turn, when the car lost the ability drive forward. The car still can drive backward like before, so I parked it on the side of the road and came back that night to try to get it home. That night I was able to put it into the 2nd gear and drive home. I have not been able to drive the car at all since, because nothing happens when I put the car into any of the drive gears. Reverse, parking and neutral gears still works. What do I need to fix?

did u check the fluid? it may take some time but you can always clean the connectors before taking it in for service

there are 2 sensors for the trans 1 is under the shifter cover (electronic selector module) and the other is accessed from below and under the heatshield electro-hydraulic control module.

As I said in my email, same thing happened this evening to our C220. My fiance was waitng at a light to make a turn an she said it got quiet but the engine was still on. It would not go forward. When I arrived, I was able to drive in reverse but no forward. Fluid level is good and does not smell burned. Praying that it is not the trans giving out. Is there hope? It just happened an hour ago. By the way this car since we have it always seemed to be a jerky shifter compared to a 300e I just sold.
