Default 2007 C230 Sport...Good Price?

My wife and I are considering a 2007 C230 Sport, 14,500 miles with the power package. It has all the standard trimmings as well, of course. It's also a certified pre-owned, which adds some value. Silver w/ black leather, 7 spd auto/manual. The dealer is asking 29k. Is 29k a little high? The guys at benzworld.org think so. Just covering my bases here. I don't want to spend more than I have to. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Try www.kbb.com which is the Kelley Blue Book site.
If no luck there, try www.edmunds.com. Another good one.
Also try www.caranddriver.com I think. Can't remember if that's a valid one or not.

Type in all your info. and boom. There it is. Plus or minus.
PS>Dealers will cry about everything and lowball you.
BE READY FOR IT.

Just to be sure nobody misunderstands me when I said, "Dealer will lowball you"....I meant on your TRADE, if you happen to have one.
This, in turn, allows them to sell you the car you are looking at for "less". Obviously. Don't worry. They are making plenty on the deal.
Believe me, the word "less" doesn't exist in the dealer world.
Never did, never will.

They are selling 2007's from the dealership here in San Antonio at $31K. I bought a used 2006 C230 this year for $24500 (mileage 20K, fully loaded). So to me the 29K is a pretty solid deal.

Way to high, I got my two days ago with 22k miles MINT, white with black leather for 17k... Look around long enough, and you will find a deal right for you.

Just get ready for a lot of crying, rolling eyes, head shaking, denial, astonishment at your offer, more denial,
and my all-time-favorite....."going to get approval from the sales manager". I love that one. Then he brings the
sales manager back into the little room or cubicle to "meet you". Here comes the hand shake and the smile. Then
the so-called "explanation" of why they can't QUITE accept your offer. That's my second favorite line.

It's all a carefully masterminded scheme that has been used by every single, EVERY SINGLE dealership since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Designed to keep you there, wear you down, make you cave, and get more for the car. And guess what. It works like a charm 90% of the time. Every time. So, I'm not here to slam dealerships. I understand they are there to make money like any business. I just get a kick out of the tactics they use so successfully, and people go in there like sheep and get sucked into a "deal" every single day.

And now for my third most favorite line:

"Well then, folks, how much COULD you afford to pay each month if I could get the payments down a little?"

That one should be in the Hall of Fame. Actually, it is.
