Default 2004 Kompressor Navigation

The Audio section looked dead, so im posting here. I have a kompressor and wanted to put in an OEM GPS in my car. I was wondering which headunit years are interchangble. Do I need any extras? What CDs do i have to buy? Can someone hook me up?

thanks in advanced, joel

Depending on where you live (Europe, for instance), your 2004 may already be the facelifted 2005+ model. If that is the case, you would need a MOST based comand unit. If not, you need a CD-rom based unit...

Both units are pretty easy to install, BUT if you have the 2005+ C-class you need to get your car reprogrammed through stardiagnose in order to make the car accept and work with the new unit.

I thought i typed in my location, but now my profile is updated.

I'm from California, USA. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/343667/4 my interior looks like that but with a metal dash with tiny squares. I dont have the electric climate control tho and of course not the GPS...yet.

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...9/693336_2.jpg if this is the 05+, i dont have this dash.

http://www.tvandnav2go.com/mercedes-tv-navigation.html ill need the Command 2.0 right? how good are these things? and is it better for just to get an aftermarket double din from eclipse?

Double DIN navigation systems such as Eclipse, Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood has a lot more features, DVD map.
COMAND 2.0 is good because it's OEM and you don't lose steering wheel controls.
