Default 2004 c240 headlights

Hi,

My left low beam went out, then two days later my right low beam went out. I see how to change the smaller parking light, but not clear on how to change the larger one. Is there a fuse related to these lights? Is there another fuse box, other than the one in the engine area?

I do need to also find a manual for the car. I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks,

Codelin

HI

I found out that replacing the bulb in the headlight is extremely easy. Just remove the black plastic cap, the metal clip and take out the light.

It turned out that both falied about the same time. I also found the fuse box in the trunk.

Happy with my car.

I have the same issue and I am about to change that low beam light bulb on my C240 2004. I bought it 2 month ago 55,000 miles. It's already gives me some small problems. Let me know how you dealing with it?

Hi -- my passenger side low-beam headlight has gone out. I changed the bulb, so that's okay (and to be sure I changed the driver's side to make sure that I had done nothing incorrect). Does anyone know which fuse ## slot is for the low-beam headlights? I know that there are fuses in 3 locations, and I found the spare fuses, but have no idea which is the one I should look at. I saw on the chart that light bulbs say "electrical" but do not know what that means. Thanks!

there is no fuse. is controlled by the fusebox/ sam unit, make sure when you replace bulbs, usually you have to cycle the ignition key or sometimes removing the key also, then reinsert the key then turn on the lights. Double check your connections and make sure the bulb is correct.
