I have a 2002 C230 Kompressor and it has a badly hail damaged hood. I've looked high and low and the only hoods I can find are for 03-07 C230 Kompressors. I know they changed the engine in '03, but are the hoods the same? It doesn't matter if it's used or new, as long as it's in great condition and reasonably priced. Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

That's what I thought as well. I did not know if the mounting brackets or anything else may be different due to the different engine. If anyone could verify for sure, I would appreciate it. I don't want to spend the money on a new hood and it not fit correctly. It appears that the 02 models are hard to find parts for. Thanks for the help!

 

Call your local dealer parts counter or a MB approved auto body shop. Either one should know the answer. I suspect they are the same.

 

usually even the salvage yards, have a parts interchange check. They would know, or should know.
