I went to the car wash and leave the car to wash the calcium off the carpets, they called me to tell me that the car wont start, the moved it out and when they try to restart it there is nothing, no dashboard,no lights nothing. What have they done to my car? Did the put to much water somewhere and had a short circuit? A fuse? I sent it to the dealer so they check it on monday.
Any idea?

PRE-SAFEŽ Brake is temporarily inoperative if:

• the DISTRONIC PLUS cover in the radiator grille is dirty.
• the sensors in the bumpers are dirty.
• its function is impaired due to heavy rain or snow.
• the radar sensor system is temporarily inoperative, e.g. due to electromagnetic radiation emitted by nearby TV or radio stations or other sources of electromagnetic radiation.
• the system is outside the operating temperature range.
• the on-board voltage is too low.

PRE-SAFEŽ Brake is operational again and the display message disappears if:

• the dirt (e.g. slush) drops away while the vehicle is in motion.
• the system detects that the sensors are fully available again.
• the system is within the operating temperature range.

If the display message continues to be displayed:

Clean the DISTRONIC PLUS cover in the radiator grille more.




Clean the bumpers more.




Restart the engine.




Wait until the battery is sufficiently charged.

 

Here is the update, mercedes removed the seats and carpets, 1 inch of water on the floor, 2 connectors are to be changed, the car works now, still need to dry, total is going to be around $500 and im lucky, the last time they seen this it cost $3000 to the owner.
I cant believe how irresponsible the guy who cleaned the carpets was. Anyway i will bring them the bill.

 

if you dont watch your cowling under the windshield debris blocks the drains and water will go into the cabin. i see alot of that at the dealer. if you go to the dealership and perform your A and B services they will get cleaned out with the service.
