Default Oil Filter Position Help

I just changed my oil and oil filter but in the process of doing so I forgot to note which side of the oil filter is the top or bottom. There's an opening at one end of the oil filter and the other side has a sealed end. Which goes to the filter cap ?

Should I install it like the picture below ? With the top going to the filter cap ?

this engine is a 111 engine im guessing. a 180,200 or 230?in all cases the sealed end clips into the cap or is the top.

thanks G.wood. I waited a while and nobody responded so I drove to the dealer with my filter and ask them which is the correct way to put it back and yes you are right the seal part goes to the top of the filter cover. Maybe next time I'll learn to pay more attention when I'm removing the filter.
