went to replace rear rotors, removed wheel, loosened 4 bolts on back of caliper brake fluid began to drip so tightened up four bolts replaced wheel,please advise.

 

Wrong bolts, there's only two holding the caliper to the wheel carrier.

 

thanks still could use more info, anybody got a thumbnail pic for me...as you can guess i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, also AM CURIOUS as to why brake fluid was present,
guess next move to remove wheel, find right two bolts, THEN WHAT????????????


ALSO 1988 MERC 190D rear defrost not working, antena switch on dash does nothing but anten goes up and down with radio,have pirated same switch from junk yard not sure if switch is problem, also noted that white plastic in antena housing worn,

still looking for help with rear rotor rplacement 1999 c230

 

expan the caliper so the brake pads dont get in your way when installing. remove the two 18mm bolts only. drop the caliper, use a T30 torx to remove the rotor retaining bolt. put a lug bolt a few threads into the hub. grab the largest hammer you can find. strike the rotor on the braking area face. once it loosens pull off and reassemble in reverse order. NOTE: you might want to use some loctite on those 18mm bolts.
