Question 07 07 C230- Had windows tinted yesterday and....
I had my windows tinted yesterday. Now my smart key isn't working properly; it’s only consistently working when I'm right next to the driver's side door. It has worked a few times from a distance today but not like it used to. (I could be 30 feet away and it would work properly.) Is it coincidence or is it possible my tint is interfering with the signal?

certain tints can cause that too happen

Unfortunately, where my keys would work here and there yesterday, now they aren't working at all. I'm pretty frustrated!

Default battery man
what does tint have to do with a smart key?lol. change the battery in the key man.problem solved.Its just coincidental thats all.

LOL...sounds like battery...Most MB dealers offer that for no charge....I had to do both mine
