I have a C230 Sport Coupe with an infrared key. The lock/unlock mechanisim works just fine but the alarm does not go off when I push the panic button unless I hold it down for 30 seconds or more. Is it supposed to do that or is there something wrong with my key? Could it be the battery? I'm a first time owner so I don't know what to do. Please help me out!

sounds like your panic alarm horn is bad bring it to a dealer and have them run a quick test on it there should be a code for it
