when you go to "post reply" for any given thread, below the text box there are the options of "click here to upload" and "embed picture in post". you have to click the embed box, then click to upload and find the picture on your hard drive, then upload it. once youve done that, end the post like you would any other post by clicking ok.

Do you have a pop-up blocker enabled ?

The file upload window pops up on top of the other window, so your popup blocker may block it.

Do you get the upload window ?? (see attachment)

Thanks guys. Yes , I ge the upload window, find the file, and upload it. The screen then says to wait for conformation that the upload is complete, but that never happens. So after about three min. I give up. But like you say I might have a blocker, but I would think it would tell me that. I know I have one for inbound, and when it stops something it tells me. But I will try later, I've just been so busy lately.

Another thing to check is:

Before you try to upload a picture, right click on it and scheck the file size. If you are uploading a BIG file it will indeed take a while.

The Max file Size that's supported is 250KB

Also it must be in a specific format -- Either .txt / .gif or jpg

Hope this helps

250 KB! That's not a photo file, that's a small thumbnail or clipart.

Most camaras today create great photos, but they are almost all over 2 MB! The cheap cost of hard drive space these days will easily accomodate real photos.

You really should consider taking the limit off of uploads, like some other MB forums.

2 MB gives you what? 5-mega-pixels in compressed file. Don't go overboard.
BTW anybody knows a site, that would accept my 26 MB uncompressed pictures?

I upload 2+ MB photos to BenzWorld and other forums all the time. If they have a limit, I don't know what it is. I would like to participate in this forum, but hate to think I will never be able to post a reasonalbe photo of anything. Today, these are considered standard size files. Let's not go "underboard!"

The pics you uploaded in your other thread look just fine. We aren't interested in seeing how high of a resolution pic you can take. This isn't a photography forum. There are more considerations than just HD space, but you don't need to worry about them.

You can also link to your pics on someone else's HD if you insist that we have the privilege of seeing them. If you just want to upload hig-res pics, go back to BenzWorld.
