I own a 2012 merc sprinter 310 that losses power in gears 3 & 4 around 2000revs any suggestions? Regards ian

 

Hey Ian — that sounds like a classic case of the turbo not kicking in properly or something limiting boost under load. A few things to check:

1. Turbo actuator or vanes sticking — quite common on Sprinters.
   
2. Boost leak — check all hoses, intercooler, and clamps for splits or loose fittings.
   
3. MAF sensor — if it’s dirty or faulty, it can cause limp-like behavior.
