This is my neighbors car and last week while driving home from work, both rear wheels worn to the steel belts! Obviously it’s an alignment issue, but when I inspected the carrier bushings some looked to have cracks in the rubber and tears in the bushing causing the tire failure! Took the car to our local Mercedes dealer and they’re trying to tell us that the bushings are fine and the car just needs new tires and an alignment. You can clearly see in the pictures the bushings are torn and cracked. Mercedes will not warranty anything and said “ the rear bushings are fine, the bushings are not torn and what we’re seeing is a coating on the OEM bushings” I’ve been working on cars for over 45 years and these bushings are compromised and torn!!
