Default A160 Alarm goes off on starting

Hi all.

I've recently purchased an early 2004 w168 a160 Avantgarde.

It has functioned fine until yesterday when it started to sound the alarm after unlocking with the fob and starting the engine. The alarm will then only disarm by switching off the engine, getting back out of the car and locking the car with the fob.

Any ideas? I have searched and I've not seen the same fault described anywhere on these or other forums.

Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forum! It could be that your alarm sensitivity is turned all the way up, you may just need to adjust it and it'll stop going off randomly.
