What do you consider the best performance tires for your AMG?

I have a 2006 S55 and I'm considering purchasing some new tires. The car currently has a pair of Hankook 245/40ZR19 98Y on the front and a pair of Hankook 275/35ZR19 100Y on the rear. I'm not a tire expert but anything with the word "Kook" in it worries me. I'd love to hear some tire preferences from AMG owners regarding high performance tire manufacturers, models and the reasons you have chosen what you've chosen.
