Since two days I've a ringing or buzzing noise in the dashboard about 1/2 minute after I start the engine. I was already at the dealership and after 45 minutes testdrive (!!) they told me I've to bring the car a day to figure out what it is. Anybody similar noise in a 2004 SL55 or another MB ?

 

Lugnut, before you answer I should pick up the phone. It's not the phone ringing.

 

I've been trying to call you for two days. Where ya been?

 

Is everything working in your car? It sounds like the buzzer sound I got when my car blew a fuse (twice). But, I got a seat belt light on the dash, too.

Who knows? Just takes a second to check the fuses.

 

Don't laugh at me: finally it was the phone but in a different way as getting a call. There was a voice mail on my phone and this very noisy and disturbing tone was from the phone informing a voice mail is pending. Even the MB gyus did not figure this out but obviously they enjoyed riding my car...

I think the phones confuse those MB tech guys. When I bought my car my antenna would always go up when I started it. It didn't matter if the stereo was on or off. I finally figured out it was the phone but I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. I stopped at a MB dealer and two mechanics spent 30 minutes in my car trying to turn the phone off but they couldn't figure out how. A week or two later I lifted the phone receiver and noticed a slide switch on the side. It's the on/off switch. Geez.
