Since the warranty is soon to expire on my ride, I was hoping to start shopping for things to do to it. Does anyone have suggestions for computer/software upgrades on the 01 E55 models? Next thing I was considering was adding a factory style super charger. I've been doing some reading and people seem to get awesome numbers from them. Any good suggestions where to find the supercharger?

We are working together with MechTech in CA for this. They use HPS blowers to boost these engines. Take a look at www.mechtech-ms.com -call Jim.

Well, that is your feeling. We also work with Kleemann, and I wouldn't say who is better than the other........ HPS would be cheaper in USA, and with the new software we provide this is a killer setup - Kleemann is very good, but much more expensive... I think this would be a matter of feelings and what is available at any given time for the customer.

 

This not only based in my oppinion this is based on guys who in the past used HPS GEN1 & GEN II. Cheaper doesnt mean better and what new killer set-up you talking about? you got facts? PLS you do not compare KLEEMAN to HPS CRAP.

 

You are correct that HPS has had some problems with the lastsetups of blowers/software. They have now a new generation of blowers and new software is being made. Since we very well know what Kleemann has of blowers and software, and what HPS is getting now, I would say that HPS can compete in the top end of MB blower setup again. By reasons you can imagine, do I not have the opportunity to sayor give you proof at this time - soon to come though. You can also imagine what we know about Kleemann software, and why... and their softwarehas been verygood.....

Obviously I have not have time to read the post you link to Joe - but I know the story. This is also why we have got into the picture, to see what can be done. I'm very confident that HPS/MechTech and we together will be able to get correct software to their new blowers - right now is it to early to give any numbers, but I will most certainly keep you guys updated.
I'm not the correct person to talk about prices for a blower/software setup - Jim at MechTech would be more correct.
Software aloneis another story, since we provide software for all MB's (included AMG) through our dealers - and also directly tospecial MB tuners world wide. I hope you understand that I don't want to give prices her on an open forum, so if aninterest is there a PM would be the thing.
