I have a 1975 450 sl. Recently I started getting a ticking sound coming from the speedometer cable that increased and decreased with rpm. I replace the upper cable. When the cable is not tightened down on the speedometer, no ticking. When it is tightened down, the ticking returned. Any ideas?
