Default Interior vinyl a hindrance to selling?

My 1973 450 sl has low mileage and is in excellent condition, inside and out. It's a beautiful car, well taken care of. But two years ago, I had to have the original leather upholstery replaced, and at the time I didn't want to pay for new leather. I had Palomino vinyl installed instead. It looks great, but now that I want to sell the Benz, I feel that I'm looking at a classic luxury (well, semi-luxury) car with an economy interior.
I'm not a Motorhead, so I need advice. If I spend the money to have leather upholstery installed now, will I more than make up for it when the car sells? Will it likely be worth the cost? Does anyone buy a vintage Mercedes, beautiful and in excellent condition, but with vinyl upholstery?
Thanks for any opinions and advice.

Many buyers appreciate the originality and luxury associated with the leather interior of a classic Mercedes-Benz, and may be willing to pay more for such vehicles. Before making a decision, it's best to conduct market research and consult with experts to understand what changes may affect the value of your vehicle.
