I just bought a 1984 380sl with vinyl seats . Can anybody recommend a good cleaner? Also should anything be done for the wood veneer? Both are in good shape in the car.

For vinyl I would use vinylex cleaner, very good. it you have some hard stains, dry a wet washcloth with a dab of Dawn. for the veneer I highly recommend 303 Protectant go here http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=protectant to buy online it cleans protect from UV and leaves a nice finish on the wood, you can also use it to clean and protect vinyl but it is a bit pricey.

Also, if there is a swimming pool supply store in your area you can buy it there. I get mine there, never saw it in an auto parts store.
