I have a 1988 mercedes 300E . I replaced the refrence sensor that was cut when i bought it. And now itll start up just fine but when i try and start it after theengineis hot it wont start. Can someone give me some pointers.

 

could be the fuel pump relay. listen for a buzzing noise when you try to start the car- should be around the rear end. fuel pump could be going as well.
