Default WHERE AM I????

Hi,
My 2007 GL with Command does not know which way it's going? The compass points North when I know I'm going south and etc. Can these radios be calibrated? I've heard of driving around in circles several times so it calibrates itself. I wanted to ask the forum and make sure before I get a bunch of strange looks.
thanks,
John

yes you do drive in circles but you have to read the manual cause im not sure of the procedure and you might have to push a button someplace so the car knows north. its in your manual.

that's the problem, I bought it used and don't have a manual. Can you find the procedure for me please? I noticed you are a MB tech and may have access to this info.

thanks in advance,
John

But I also read somewhere in this forum that the newer navigation units are self calibrating; that is, there's no compass module in the radio itself, it gets the signal through the GPS.

I don't depend on it. It still has the maps which is more convenient than flipping pages in an atlas. I just want it to work right.
