Big newbie here. I'm planning to get my hands on an 89 230E Automatic tranny, US version. I'm based in Manila, by the way. It would be appreciated if you can give me a heads up on what to expect and what to watch out for while shopping for a 124.

I've been told the this model is fairly solid. I would like to know what I should looking out for with the body, electronics, engine sound. I'm really not so sure if the W124 body has an airlock system.

Are there any known issues regarding the W124?
