Urgent help with ipod needed.
Hi guys, I'm picking up a brand new cls 63 amg tomorrow (thursday) and have ordered it with the ipod intergration kit. I've bought a new 80gb fifth gen ipod and need to know something. My ipod hasn't been delivered yet, but from doing a bit of reading, I understand that your music can be coded into two different formats. I believe it's mp3 or acc. Does anyone know which format works with command and the steering wheel? If both work, which is best for sound quality?
I have around three hundred cd's and was planning on coding at 128kbps quality.
Is this too low for the sound quality? I want to keep plenty of room in my ipod for new material I buy.
I just dont want to start doing all these albums only to find I have used the wrong format, as I'm sure you understand.
Thanks for any help guys.[/align]

RE: Urgent help with ipod needed.
Hi, I've been using my 80 Gig Ipod for a while. You're probably going to want to use theItunes on your PC to import your music and video files. I think the extension is .OOG for the music. If you really want to use .mp3, I'd recommend changing the bitrate to 256kbps for some better sound quality. I've had a couple CD's clip out some high and low ends of the sound spectrum @ 128kbps. You'll never notice the difference in storage space onthe 80 gig. I have about 500 cd's worth of music,4 full length movies and 5000 photos and I'm only using 30 gig on my Ipod.
Hope that helps
