hi there, hope there is someone that can help with my 1998 slk .
i have encountered a problem with the central locking and i need to get in the trunk to check the pse pump connections as i think water may have got into it (not sure). the central locking has failed with the trunk locked and have just discovered that both my keys will not fit the lock.my doors and fuel flap have remained unlocked.is there any mechanical release or will my local mercedes dealer be able to help.
thanks, john

you might be using valet key.
if you will slightly bring the top down, the trunk will open itself... that's the first thing it will do before stowing the hardtop inside the trunk.

hi. yeah i thought of doing that, but because the cover in trunk is not pulled over the roof wont budge. looks like i may have to force the lock somehow. thanks for your reply, john
