Looking for any advise that could possibly assist.

I purchased a 1994 W124 E220 (A) recently and it is one of the smoothest cars i have ever driven.

My concern is that there is a harsh, loudticking sound coming from the passenger side front interior, sounds like it is coming from under the glove box, while accelerating, especially from 3500rmp upwards making it very noisy in the cabin.
The sound is not present at idle and barely audible at low rpms.The car otherwise runs beautifully in all respects.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Stuart,

I will try and record it later in the day and possibly post it tomorrow. The sound is very mechanical and i have a suspicion it could be a fuel pressure regulator? or maybe auxiliary fuel pump?
