For starters you would have to provide your model/year since the procedure varies a little.
Second, since the reset is a routine part of any correctly performed Schedule service, are you not concerned that the 1/2 price service you obtained was done correctly.
Just my $0.02.

Mercedes 2003 E500 Sedan. They've been in business for years and cut me a deal b/c I wsd got laid off--tried that w/ the dealership first but no dice. I was getting worried b/c I was long overdue. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks, Richard

It used to be in the Owners Manual for the W210 but since you have W211 maybe not but check the back sections.
Here is a link for Service Interval Reset:
http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/
On the left menu -- select Resources -- then Service Interval Reset -- Yours should be #10 at the bottom of the first page. Download and print the PDF. Sometimes the procedures can be kind of sensitive so don't be alarmed if it doesn't work the very first time. You may have to do it a couple of times to get it to work.
BTW, you don't say how overdue. A few hundred miles is not a problem. A few thousand will result in
your next service interval being a lot longer than it should since the system will start counting from
the time of the reset.
Good luck.
