Based? What means Based?

As in Military base? LOL The military left along time ago; so did the tourists and the grocery stores, mostly to animal and insect predation, storms, and local spiritual plagues. They spent their time trying to stand-off the elements; I guess they lost interest. The fort has been destroyed. The termite hauled off all the wood, the vines broke-up the pavement, the storms knocked all the buildings down. Its almost gone. There is a tiny air-strip about a hour away, but I never see any planes there. I quess you live in the bigcity. The lasttime I was in London, was 1975 as a child, the other kids called me Mowgli as fun. Not only is there a political agreement with the government, but also a political agreement with the animal and insect life. If not for this, you cannot survive.

Charles.
"Based" means located in this context.

Two countries divided by a common language.

Hi,
You still haven't siad where you live!
Just tap in OBD scanner into the Internet / eBay and you will find loads.
I use an Auterra Dyno-Scan which needs a PC laptop (any OS) or a Palm PDA.
I find the Palm extremely useful since it has proven to be VERUY robust and its so convenient and mobile. The kit comes with the required lead and a CD.
But there are many different sorts to choose from dependent upon your budget and the functionality you require.
The very simple (inexpensive) scanners can't read live data. They use flashing LED's etc. and I'm not sure they are worth the effort.
Go Auterra.com
Stuart.

Hi Stuart and Sleepwalker,

I installed the new MAF today. Immediately the car ran better. The CElight went off a couple hours later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow you helped me so much and it was such a generous thing to do.
Where I am from, when people help you, it is greatly appreciated and admired. In my house, you would be a hero.

Stuart, right now I'm in Georgia attending university for the semester. I caused a 9 month delay in my studies by switching from Law to MBA, so I will be here a bit longer. My home is in the Caribbean region; I'm extraordinarliy anxious to return.
