[8D] 05 C230K very slow parking lot speed during a turn.go to accelerate and there is NO RESPONSE no matter how far you depress the accelerator,,THEN if you back off the pedal and try again=AWAY it goes..any sugestions greatly appreciated.

 

Your car (like many others)( has an electronic accelerator (Fly by wire)

It would appear that there is either a bad connection or alternatively the pedal potentiometer or throrttle actuator component has failed. Usual failure is at high e.g. 100k mileage.

Check out the connections / multi connectors. Loose? Damp?

If no obvious reason can be found maybe best to get the diagnostic codes read. However since fault is intermittent no codes may be stored.

thanx for that info,will certainly check it out OR have local MB dealer check it out as i did purchase an extended warranty
