Further to Sleepwalkers warning be aware that this mechanic has TAMPERED with an IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE.

The interlock mechanism that prevents starting in gear / without your foot on the brake has been removed.

SOMEONE (including yourself) could start the car in gear / without your foot on the brake and I suspect that you would be liable for the consequences

Just a thought in these days of litigation.

The "Stuck in Park" problem is quite common (on all makes of car) BUT is easy to correct.
Usually a simple failure in the Brake light switch, gear change position module or solenoid on the shift mechanism...
as we advised previously.

He did warn me of this and that I shld get a new shift assembly within the next couple of months....I love my car its just when something goes wrong with it is always MAJOR....nothing like a filter or something.....any ideas on the CD changer that keeps saying NO MAGAZINE when it is full of CD's and now wont play?

 

replace the cd changer.
