Howdy folks! I have an issue that I need to fix ASAP. I have a 1990 300TE 4MATIC that I just pulled out of long term storage after three years of only occasionally driving it around the block, the last time I drove it four months ago, the speedometer/odometer cluster were still functioning, but when I pulled it out to sell it to a friend of ine last week, they had quit working. I was told that it could likely be a fuse, since the odometer and the speedometer operate independently of one another and don't usually go out at the exact same time. Everything else on the instrument panel is working fine. Any suggestions would be helpful, as the new prospective owner of the car wants me to fix this issue before he buys it, and I don't want to waste time pulling out the entire gauge cluster if it's just a bad fuse.
