Speedometer Connection
Hi everyone,
I am currently do a project for my 300SL gullwing using the 5 spd transmission with this no. W123 260 2301 717 402 008 003. I don't see there is a connector where I can hook up my mechanical cable drive speedometer. At the very end of the tranny, there is a hole and I am guessing this is the location for the speed sensor but this hold is blocked by a plastic cap. I tried to remove it but it is stuck. Does anyone knows how to connect mechanical speedometer to the tranny. I attached the photos of the transmission showing 3 sets of numbers and the hole that is blocked by a plastic cap. Anyone can share this knowledge please. Thank you for reading and helping.
