Default SLK Boost Problem

'99 slk seems to have lost power. It is acting like any normal car that doesn't have a supercharger in that it will accelerate, but not as quickly as if a supercharger was present. Have checked to see if clutch engages on the supercharger when under load and it does. ECU has just been replaced as they thought it was the culprit and it wasn't. Ran the OBD and it comes back clear. No check engine light. Is there something else I should look for before I bring it back in to the tech?

test the secondary air injection. with engine running at 3000rpm, turn it on and you will hear that big whine from the engine.

Hi sleepwalker, thanks for giving me a hand in this. Where do I look and how do I turn on the secondary air injector? What should I be looking for?

Ok, will give that shot. Is there an engine schematic somewhere on the web that you know of. Hunted for one for a couple of hours, but the sites keep directing me to used car parts.
