More Money, for B but more "service" according to the dealer. I have two dealers in this area and both have different A & B schdules, both have the recommend Mercedes A & B and both take on recommeded extras. Pricees ranage $250 to $300 for the A and for the B $400 to $475. Neither will do just what Mercedes recommends on either A or B

My manual spells what's included in each service.
The first service A on our M-class cost me like $49 in the year of 1999.
Now I can keep on dreaming.

Don't have my pricing list from the one dealer that pubishes one, but I know A was over $200 dollors, and B was over $400 and that is for my 99 C280. But dealer prices on everything they offer very widely very from state to state, and area to area.

I just had "B" service done under warranty on my '02 CL500. Services performed were oil and filter change, and changes of a/c filter, wiper blades, brake fluid and coolant flush. I'm sure they check wear items also. As for "A" service, this is basically and oil and filter change and a look see at wear items. On my invoice, they call it "Flexible Service System" (FSS) - Service Scope "B", so I guess the work performed is flexible according to customers request.
