Is there a way to delete the security system. I have a 1999 SL600 and in the last 6 weeks the security system has locked out everything. On the odometer it reads ERROR it will start but will not contiue to run.It has to be towed back to the dealer each time. Does anyone one how to shut off the system? It is getting very costly.

 

some of them they just disconnect that control module.

yes. the central locking may not respond for it is waiting for authorization before opening the door.

you cannot arm or dis-arm the system.

but for just a try, he might get rid of it. i have tried that in other model (W140) and it was fine. i never tried in 129.
