Seat fuse keeps blowing

I have a 98 SL500 and the fuse to adjust the seats keep blowing.

Has anyone had the same problem???

Any suggestions to track down the problem would be appreciated.

JD,
Start by trying to determine which switch position causes the fuse to blow. Next examine the wires going to the seat motor that switch position controls. One of them could have had some of it's insulation worn away or pinched thus shorting the wire to the seat frame. If none of the wires are shorted then you need to check to see you could have one of the seat motors shorted which may have to be replaced. A third option might be, the seat is jammed, try manually rocking the seat, up/down, tilt front/rear to free up the seat. Check for obstructions.
Hope that helps,
Steve
