I have a 1987 190d,is there anything between the light switch on the dash,and the head light that may be blown or shorting out that would keep my pass side headlight from operating properly. Sometimes I have Low Beam with no High Beam,and sometimes it doesnt work at all.

Just check the bulbs inside the lamps they have an access door behind each one you can then look and see if the bulb is blown,,if not there is also an inline fusable link before the headlight,,i removed mine ha,,probably stupid but oh well they work fine

 

Thanks for your reply, I am also thinking it may actually be the plug, when it doesn't work, all I have to do is wiggle/touch the wires coming out of the plug and it will light up (high Beam only). Could be bulb also,but I just replaced it. You never know. Thanks again.
