Default Repair Manual on CD?

Hi guys gals,

The dealer here sells a repair manual for my CLK on CD. Its also available from MBUSA.

Has anyone bought a CD repair manual? Are they any good?

Default RE: Repair Manual on CD?

I bought the factory CD for my SLK. It cost me $120.00 and was shipped and received in about 5 days. It seems pretty comprehensive. It's much better than anything else I've seen available which isn't much. If you are like me and want to do as much as you can yourself, it's worth the money.

A couple of quick questions please.

Are there OTHER costs when buying the CD. For example, does it merely log onto another site where will have to pay more money, or buy a membership, or have an internet account?

Is it going to ask me to give up all my rights, and allow a third party complete control over my personal computer?

OR can I simply use it as a reference, when I buy it?

Charles
