Default question about aftermarket shocks on a '99 C280

I am thinking about getting some Bilstein shocks for my car to make it ride better and maybe a bit lower. does anyone know if this will actually do what Iam thinking it will do? Also what is the difference between the Heavy Duty and the Sport Shocks? With these I would also get H&R sport springs. Is it worth it?

You may already have Bilstein. I'm fairly sure my C280 Sport comes with Bilstein.
A word of caution. When you lower a car, you change the suspension to a stiffer ride- there's no way around it. Lower kits are the best way to go IMO because they use progressive spring rates to mitigate too firm a ride over relatively smooth road surfaces. However, as the the spring gets more load, it stiffens.
There are some great kits out there by Eibach and Sachs which are not too agressive and promise a smooth ride with a lower stance.
