On the way home fromNY my 1994 C280 overheated. The temp on the gauge reached 100 C while idling in traffic. When we began moving it dipped to 90 C or so. Made it within 2 blocks of the house and the gauge went to red. Drove the final two blocks and shut the car off. You could hear the antifreeze bubbling and I ASSUME a hose broke as I lost about 1/2 gallon of antifreeze on the driveway. Needless to say I had the car towed to my Mercedes shop. Of course they cannot look at it until Monday. What are the chances the head cracked or got warped? I am sweating this.......
