No Cold Up Shift 1990 300se
Hello
I have a 180,000 mi 300se
It up shifts at high RPM or not at all when cold.
The filter had deteriorated and blocked it self.
Fluid was clean looking.
New filter and fluid but still a late cold shift.
Shifts well once its warmed up .
Thank you for your thoughts on this problem.

Paul,
Get yourself a quart of Trans-X and add it to the trans. If the trans is not too far gone, you could well solve the problem. If it does so, run the trans with the Trans-X for aprox 1000 miles then change the fluid and the filter as well as putting a pint of Trans-X in to keep things clean. Best of luck with this.
