Hello, I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor that sat over the winter and the battery went dead. I jump started the car and it started and ran ok, but the power locks don't work and the trunk won't open. We removed the back seat and replaced the battery and now the key does nothing. When the battery was low it was hard to turn the key the second time I tried to start it but it started. Now with a new battery the ignition doesn't even click when I put the infrared key in. Tried batteries in key and tested new battery - fine.
Can anybody help me to figure this out. I can't open the trunk because the valet key had never been used so it won't go into lock, and the power switch on console innop as well as all locks. Everything was fine with this car when I parked it last fall. Please help!!!
