I have a 1996 Mercedes C220. We have had it for about 1.5 years. we were going to get dinner last night and when we started the car it felt as if the car was not in gear. I looked down, it was in reverse, just as I had thought. Then, after we drove about a mile the car starts to vibrate. This same thing happened last year almost to the day. So I knew that it was about to cut off. As we pull into a driveway to turn around, the car cuts off. We roll back, blocking a lane of traffic, and try to start the car. The engine turned over, but then a second later turned off. Last time were thought it was just a fuse because we found a blow fuse and after that the car ran fine. After we let the car sit for a while, we got it to start, and drove it home. What could the problem be?
