Default Navigation outside USA

Dear Sir/Mam:

I bought 2004 ML-350 in USA. It has the navigation system, it works well in USA.
I will be shipping the car to the Middle East, in particular Jordan. I would like to know if the CD would have digital map for that country, or do I have to purchase a different one ?. Also, if that is the case, could you please direct me to a dealer that might have it?

Thanks
Mohamed Nezami

i woudl think that if you contact the company who made the CD itself, they should be able to assist you

I use a Garmin GPS. I can manually go to Jordan (or anywhere) to preview or check whether there are built-in detailed maps for that area. Can you do that on yours?

Usually you can buy additional mapping software from the manufacturer.
My SA from DeLorme shows contours and main freeways around the World, but I have to spend money to get detailed map.
Last time I checked, they wanted about $130 per country. Good if you want 1 software, but not if you are planing to cross 11 borders in 3 weeks.

Yeah, I should have added that. Garmin sells add-in detailed maps too, but I thought he should check if he needed any first, if the software allowed it. It's most likely he needs new maps, since they are generally grouped by country.
