More 190e questions 2.3 & 2.6
More 190e questions! 
I recently posted about my 1988 190e that blew the engine & a 1989 190e that I thought of buying that had a tranny problem.
My husband changed his mind & bought me that 89.
Turns out it has a 2.6, my 88 has a 2.3.
The 89 will not shift into high gear ,so I have to stay below 40mph.Any ideas on what this might be? I did not drive it home ,we had it carried on a flatbed wrecker to be more cautious.
Also far as engines are there any parts that will interchange? Possibly alternator,starter etc...anything mechanical at all? Maybe even the trans? I have already started stripping the 88 of all
electric motors, instrumet cluster etc... I know that stuff is the same.Any ideas on tranny problem & parts that interchange would be greatly appreciated.
