hello everyone i'm new to this site and look foward to sharing and recieving some good info........oh proud owner of a 99 e320 45k, first question....interested in installing a "factory mobile phone"i was told my mb dealer that this motorola is no longer availible!! something about they(who's they) discountinued doulble band phones only tribands are now available!???? help thanks <IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">

 

The only phone that Mercedes now offers for the cars is the motorola V.60. In '99 they had an analog phone. Today no cellular company will activate an analog phone, only digital. The V.60 can be retrofited to the '00 S-class which can with a startac phone. But I don't know about the V.60 being able to be retrofited to any any other vehicle. Even for the S-calss to retrofit, it's about $4,000.00 to do.
